June 02 He walked back into my life!Thursday morning, I'm roused from my sleep by a phone call.
I don't recognize the number.
It was...him.
He said he was back. Even though I tried my best to maintain my composure, inner joy started to burst out like a Volcano. He said he'd come to my place in an hour, and in a formal voice I said that would be very good. God, if he only knew about the pain his abscence had caused in my life. How I missed him beyond comprehension, beyond anything I had expected.
I got ready and got through the morning, but it felt magical somewhow. And then...I went downstairs and there he was standing, greeting me with a smile, and just like that...after a month of carting myself around town, dealing with asshole drivers, bad roads and parking nightmares...my driver resumed work! |
