    Breaking Convention

    It's been an  interesting week.

With my sister getting married. Action packed wedding, in which I have entertained funny relatives, taken too much time off work, been chased around by psychotic celebrities and been told that even though I'm a kid brother...I'm delicious!

One story deserves a mention in particular. The shoe-stealing episode.

Many darklords are thwarted because of inept, incompetent underlings and I was the victim of this too.

When it was time for Gaurav to remove his shoes and get on the Mandap, I coner him and look around only to see that I am surrounded by his siblings and friends. My team is nowhere to be seen and hours and hours of meticulous planning...down the drain. Yet, I go for his shoes and (literally) go down fighting as I wrestle a guy twice my size (these Punjus are huge) and am tickled by 3 women at the same time (which I admit, was rather enjoyable). So I am publicly humiliated as the boys side makes snide remarks about my inability to relieve the groom of his footwear.

A dark thought enters my mind, and as the wedding progresses and the ceremony is completed, I say to the boy's side that my sister now belongs to them. They all forcefully concur and claim her. I dramnatize the sentiment loudly in front of the packed wedding hall and say that she is now Gaurav's wife first and my sister second, that she is Priya Coulagi no more, she is now and forever Priya Bakshi! To which, I recieve roaring approval and affirmation.

Then once that proclamation is validated...I steal the bride's shoes instead.

People tell me I have backwards, that I fight dirty and dont respect tradation. Say what you want, all I know is that before the night ended, my (inept) cronies and I were a few thousand rupees richer!
